Pub quiz nights on the radio
Community locals across West Yorkshire will get the chance to plug into the airwaves next February when BBC Radio Leeds stages a series of quiz nights to highlight the role of the British pub.
Five consecutive nights will be devoted to the quizzes which will take place next February fronted by BBC Leeds presenters.
The quizzes will be plugged on air and supplied to pubs via CD with follow-up reports broadcast on the airwaves.
The BBPA is appealing for licensees to put their pubs forward for the quizzes and reap much needed publicity for themselves and flag up the important role which community locals play in society.
BBPA northern secretary Lee Le Clercq said:” This is a great opportunity to publicise local pubs and highlight the great service they provide in the local community.
“Radio Leeds has more than 200,000 listeners, the majority of which are over 45 so it is very much the kind of audience which pubs need to attract.”
